Announcing that the Captain of our senior Women’s side for the upcoming 2024/25 season is Ashleigh Katoa! Last season Ash made 319 runs at an average of 63.80 which saw her take out Kilsyth’s Batting Average, as well as the RDCA C Grade – White competition Batting Average. She was also our Senior Women’s Club Champion. Further to this, in 2023/24 Ash made the first century for Kilsyth’s Women’s Team in Club history and was also a key member of the Women’s first premiership team! Overall, Ash has played in 38 games, scored the most runs for KCC’s Women’s team, 545 runs at an average of 36.33, including a highest score of 100 retired not out and three half centuries of 88 not out and 50 not out (twice). She has also captured 4 wickets with best bowling of 1/5 and in the field has taken 8 catches and achieved 3 run outs. Ash also holds four record batting partnerships as follows:
First Wicket: 182 with Nicole Woolhouse v Montrose 2023/24
Equal Second Wicket: 82 with True Campbell v Wycliff 2020/21
Third Wicket: 121 with Nicole Woolhouse v Bayswater Park 2023/24
Eighth Wicket: 40 with Georgia Smith v Officer 2022/23
