Congratulations to the U12-3’s who won the premiership this evening and the U12-7’s who were runners-up. Both teams have had great seasons.

The U12-3’s were successful in defeating top team and previously undefeated Mooroolbark at the Barkers’ home ground. Congratulations to Kilsyth Captain Luke Ivanovic, who was awarded Man of the Match for his 40 not out and 2/12 off 5.2 overs (1 maiden). Other wicket takers were spinners Jamie Tooth 3/6 off 5 overs and Jack Childs 3/15 off 6 overs (2 maidens), together with pace bowler Jason Hanley who captured 2/13 off 5 overs.

Resuming at 3/99 in reply to Mooroolbark’s 4/59 on Wednesday, Kilsyth were dismissed in the 43rd over for 158 setting Mooroolbark the target of 100 additional runs off 26 overs with 7 wickets in hand. Other Kilsyth batsmen to reach double figures were Ethan Denison 12, Ryan Coppens 12, Jack Childs 10 and Evan de Courcy 10. Mooroolbark were eventually dismissed for 105 off 38.2 overs after being 5/98 at one stage. Ryan Coppens took 2 catches with 1 catch each to Evan de Courcy, Jamie Tooth, Jack Childs and Ethan Denison.

The U12-7’s batted first at Quambee Reserve No. 1 Oval against top team North Ringwood who were also undefeated. Kilsyth made 4/102cc off their allotted 23 overs. Top scorers were Jack Parrott 27 off 18 balls, Joel Harris 23 retired not out off 20 balls and Tyler Rooney 10. In reply North Ringwood finished on 4/110 off 18 overs. Wicket takers were Matthew Smith 1/5 off 2 overs, Brodie Goodwin 1/6 (1 over) and Kane Corcoran 1/10 (2 overs) whilst Jack Parrott effected a run out.
